As of 1 January 2025, the FuelEU Maritime Regulation has come into force, introducing mandatory requirements for vessels above 5,000 GT calling at EU/EEA ports to progressively reduce the greenhouse gas intensity of their energy use. While many regional maritime operators are active on EU routes, awareness of these obligations—and their associated cost implications and penalties for non-compliance—remains limited.
The KICKSTER FuelEU Marketplace addresses this gap by providing a digital, subscription-based compliance hub that enables:
